Prior to the Expo:
This is the hairband and the matching ring (below) that I made to wear the to the Expo. Can't carry around my Scrapbook Albums or my Caring Card Tree now can I? Hehe! I had to make something from paper to express myself and show everyone what I can create. The red flowers are made from cardstock, a brad, some ink, Ritzy Ditzy Glitz, 3 D Crystal Lacquer and of course some glitter! The Gold and black flower is made from ribbon and the netting in the background was plain white. I inked it up added some Glue Dots and then flocked them with black.

During the Expo:
I was able to work the booth at P K Glitz and had a great time with Janelle and Jim. They did wonderful demos and I can't wait to try some of their techniques. Thanks!!!
The 2011 Pleasanton, CA Scrapbook Expo was the first Expo I have ever attended. I was a bit nervous heading down there. I had never met anyone I was going to be working with and I am not a cropper who enjoys being alone. I got my crop tickets for Thursday night and I was able to sit with some wonderful ladies. A mother and daughter who were so friendly and made me feel right at home. Here is the set of jewelry I made at the crop... thanks to my daughter for modeling the hair piece today so I can get a better photo of it then I did on the red set.
Pink Carnation Hair Barrette:
Pink Carnation Broach:
Pink Carnation Ring (This one is the closest to the true color... I need to work on the photography lighting):
I started a teal and sliver rose set and though it is not done yet I can't wait to find the time to complete it.
I also met Elena from Charity Wings (AKA Scrapbook Royalty). She hosted the crop all three nights and even though Friday and Saturday were sold out I volunteered with her to help her run them. She is in the photo below (on the far right) of us and two other volunteers.
Though I was all by myself this year I believe it opened up some opportunity for me to meet some wonderful people. Friends were made and fun was had by all!
I was able to make the Charity Wings Make and take sponsored by Faber-Castell. It was made from a canvas tag, water color crayons and pencils and their India ink markers.
After the Expo (The Haul):
I wanted to share with everyone the haul I got from the Scrapbook Expo. I hope that this inspires you to attend the Expo this year. Don't forget to check out the P K Glitz booth and the Charity Wings booth for the fab make and take you can see in the photo below the video.
Hope you enjoyed looking at & reading about all the things I got to do at Expo. I hope your experience is just a good. If you have gone to one in the past year... what was your favorite part?

I often Dream.... and snipits of my SB EXPO weekend.
Hello everyone,
I am happy to share with you today this layout of my son. I used my favorite combination of items again the Ritzy Ditzy Glitz and Glitter Glitz. The title Dream and the center of the painted cardstock are spritzed with the Ritzy Ditzy Glitz in Silver. As I painted the boarder of the background cardstock with some crackle paint I sprinkled on some Glitter Glitz in Chocolate while it was wet, allowing the paint to work as an adhesive. This created a great distressed and yet glitzy background paper.
In the closeup here you can see that I have used my Quickie Glue Pen to journal with and then added glitz with the Cinnabun Glitter Glitz. I also used the Quickie Glue Pen to add some depth to the patterned paper flourishes. This time though I sprinkled them with the Chocolate Glitter Glitz.
Also I just spent a long but exciting 4 days in the Bay area for the Pleasenton Scrapbook Expo. I had a blast working with Janelle and Jim from P K Glitz in the booth and then volunteering at the crops at night with Elena from Charity Wings (AKA Scrapbook Royalty). I will post my make and take from them and all the wonderful goodies a bit later this week.
I did get to crop the first night on Thursday and had a great time with two ladies, Kim and Shannon. They kinda took in this loner and gave me a table to sit at so I wouldn't be alone. Thanks gals! I will post my creations from that night later this week.
I am glad to be home with the family and enjoyed the warm welcome when I returned... I am never gone unless it is to the store so I never get an over joyed welcome home... LOL. It felt good and the Hubby had the house clean and looking great! Thanks Sweetie!
Well it is late so I thought I would just let you know what I have been up too and thought you might enjoy this page of my sweet little boy.
Happy Scrapping everyone!!!!

Vintage Rose Acetate Card
Hello everyone!
Today I would like to share with you a vintage rose card I made. I played around with my Tim Holtz masks and Ritzy Ditzy Glitz... I have to tell you that I love the results. It is not the first time I have done this technique but it is my first time working on an acetate card. It is very easy to do. After placing the mask where I wanted it and making sure it was firmly adhered to the card, I started spritzing with Gold Ritzy Ditzy Glitz and before it dried I added bronze around the outside and Garnet in the middle of the card. I used my heat gun (from a distance) to push the fluid around and dry it. Since the card was acetate the Ritzy Ditzy Glitz fluid did not absorb as fast as it usually does.
For the flower I used my cricut to cut out several layers of the same flower in different sizes. I stacked the flowers and used a brad in the center to hold them together. I got them wet and gently crushed the petals into the center of the flower. I used my heat gun to dry it for a min just to get the moistness off and started slowly un-crushing them until I liked the look and shape. I spritzed it with Bronze Ritzy Ditzy Glitz and added some gold in then used my 3D Crystal Lacquer along the edges of the petals. While the adhesive was still wet I dusted it with some Clear Glitter Glitz. Here is a closer look.
