My first Banner!!! Loved making this project!

Hello once again!

Today I am excited to share with you my very first banner. With Thanksgiving coming up I wanted a little something that would represent the holiday. I wanted to show my family that I am Thankful for all we have together. I Loved using the layers on this banner and the simple yet elegant technique of a glitter boarder with Sticky Tape and some PK Glitter Glitz.

The alternating glitz of the PK Glitter Glitz in Copper Penny, Pumpkin and New England Autumn compliment the fall color scheme in the papers. Here is a little fun family tip… With the scraps from my pennants I created some small strips of paper. We will have made 25 of them and each member of the family wrote down things they are thankful for. These will be read once a day, every day in the month of November, until Thanksgiving. This project helps us really get into the reason this holiday was created. You can see this off to the right of the banner in the picture below.

This was my FB post today...

Cupcakes complete - (check)
Clean myself up - (check)
Coach Cheer game - (Check)
Catnap - (check)though it turned into more of a Coma state for several hrs.
Clean House - (need to do)
Collect Drinks for tomorrow - (need to do)
prepare for my CROP - (need to do)"

I am exhausted from this weekend already, yet excited about finally hosting another crop at my house.

This week I have been on the go since Tuesday. Yet, I agreed to bake a cake for Tristan's teacher's son. He is turning two and today was his birthday party. They requested chocolate cake, and vanilla cupcakes both with butter-cream icing. Their party theme was Cars and they gave me free reign on the design... I was so excited to create this cake. I love a good challenge. Here are some pics of the cake and cupcakes.

She said she loved the cupcakes I made for her birthday and brought to class for her. It makes me so happy when people appreciate my craftiness and request it again. Here are a few of pictures of her birthday cupcakes...

Well I better get moving. Have a great weekend!

Glitter is in Full Bloom - Dixie Pieces and P K Glitz

I had the pleasure of working with Dixie Pieces April kit, Full Bloom. It was amazing to work with color combos of pinks, periwinkles, greens and blues. This elegant yet playful kit is full of scrapping goodness. There were some wonderful embellishments included in this kit, such as, teeny alphabet stickers, jewels and pearls, Clear Cuts Journaling pieces, floral pins, buttons, flowers, ribbon and a great artisan frame.

I had a fabulous time glitzing it all up!I started off in the mood to use up some of those green and navy papers. I love this photo of my Hubby and son by the Cascade falls in Ouray CO. It was so easy to combine the kit with the P K Glitz products.
